Nourlangie in the Kakadu 13 July 1996 From the Australian Nature Conservation Agency brochure: Archaeological research in this area shows that the (rock) shelter was used between 6,000 and 20,000 years ago. Since then the shelter has become popular because the surrounding environment slowly changed to provide more food resources.
